Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Skewers (Printer-friendly)

Fresh strawberries coated in smooth dark chocolate with optional pistachio or coconut toppings.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 24 large fresh strawberries, hulled

→ Chocolate

02 - 7 oz dark chocolate (60–70% cocoa), chopped
03 - 1 teaspoon coconut oil or neutral vegetable oil

→ Garnishes (optional)

04 - 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
05 - 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
06 - 2 tablespoons white chocolate, melted (for drizzling)

# Steps:

01 - Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries, ensuring they are completely dry. Hull if not already done.
02 - Thread 3 strawberries onto each of the 8 skewers and set them aside.
03 - In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate with the coconut oil using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
04 - Line a tray with parchment paper to rest the dipped skewers.
05 - Holding each skewer, dip the strawberries partially or fully into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
06 - Place the skewers on the lined tray and quickly sprinkle with chopped pistachios or shredded coconut if desired.
07 - Drizzle melted white chocolate over the dipped strawberries for a decorative finish.
08 - Refrigerate the skewers for 15 minutes until the chocolate is set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

# Top Tips:

01 -
  • They come together in minutes, which means you can actually enjoy your own party instead of stressing in the kitchen.
  • That satisfying snap of chocolate against juicy strawberries never gets old, no matter how many times you make them.
  • Your guests will think you spent hours on these, and you'll smile knowing the truth.
02 -
  • Dry strawberries are non-negotiable—this is the lesson I learned the hard way when my first batch looked like sad, chocolate-covered puddles.
  • Don't skip the oil; that small addition transforms thick chocolate into a luxurious coating that flows beautifully and sets with a satisfying snap.
03 -
  • If your chocolate seizes or becomes grainy, add a tiny amount of coconut oil and stir gently—this often saves the batch and creates an even silkier finish.
  • Lightly toast your coconut or nuts before sprinkling to deepen the flavor and make them more aromatic, transforming good into absolutely unforgettable.
